Neurodivergent Not Naughty (Triple N) Honoured with Beacon of Neurodiversity Family Support Organization Award

Neurodivergent Not Naughty, also known as Triple N, has been recognised with the Beacon of Neurodiversity Family Support Organization Award for its outstanding commitment to supporting neurodivergent children and their families.

The award celebrates the organisation’s dedication to advocacy, family support, inclusion, and improving the everyday experiences of children with neurodivergent conditions.

A Support Network Built by Parents

Triple N was founded by two mothers who understood first-hand the challenges that families of neurodivergent children can face.

Their experience inspired them to create a safe and supportive community where parents can receive guidance, encouragement, emotional support, and practical help.

What began as a shared desire to help other families has grown into an important support network for parents who may otherwise feel isolated or overwhelmed.

Providing Support Around the Clock

One of the defining features of Triple N’s work is its commitment to being available to families when they need support most.

The organisation provides emotional support around the clock, helping parents navigate difficult moments and giving them a place to turn for reassurance and understanding.

Triple N also hosts weekly coffee talks and online support groups, creating opportunities for parents to connect, share experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another.

These spaces help families build confidence while reminding them that they are not alone in their journey.

Advocating for Neurodivergent Children

Triple N goes beyond emotional support by actively advocating for the rights and needs of neurodivergent children.

The organisation assists families by writing advocacy letters and, where necessary, speaking or translating on behalf of parents during specialist appointments.

This support can be particularly valuable for families who may find medical, educational, or social systems difficult to navigate.

By standing alongside parents, Triple N helps ensure that families are heard and that children receive the attention, understanding, and support they deserve.

Giving a Voice to Non-Verbal and Isolated Children

A significant part of Triple N’s work focuses on children who may struggle to communicate verbally or who experience isolation in school and social environments.

The organisation raises awareness about the experiences of non-verbal children and those who may be excluded or misunderstood because of their neurodivergence.

Its advocacy highlights the importance of patience, acceptance, and creating inclusive spaces where every child is valued.

The message behind the organisation’s name, “Neurodivergent Not Naughty,” is especially powerful. It challenges the misconception that behaviour linked to neurodivergence should automatically be treated as misbehaviour.

Instead, it encourages people to look deeper, understand individual needs, and respond with compassion.

A Well-Deserved Recognition

Receiving the Beacon of Neurodiversity Family Support Organization Award is an important recognition of the impact Triple N continues to make.

The award celebrates not only the founders but also the families, supporters, volunteers, and advocates who contribute to the organisation’s mission.

It acknowledges the value of creating a community where parents feel supported and children are understood for who they are.

Promoting Understanding, Inclusion and Hope

Triple N’s work demonstrates how powerful community-led support can be.

By combining emotional support, advocacy, awareness, and practical assistance, the organisation continues to help families navigate the realities of raising neurodivergent children.

Its recognition with the Beacon of Neurodiversity Family Support Organization Award serves as a reminder that meaningful change begins with understanding.

Through its continued efforts, Neurodivergent Not Naughty is helping to build a more informed, compassionate, and inclusive society for neurodivergent children and their families.
