Pleo ReachOut Organisation CIC: Supporting People Living with Disabilities and Their Families in Nigeria During the COVID-19 Pandemic (2020)

In 2020, as the world faced the unprecedented challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Pleo ReachOut Organisation CIC extended compassionate support to people living with disabilities and their families in Nigeria. Understanding the heightened vulnerability of this community during the crisis, we provided essential palliative care packages aimed at relieving hardship, promoting well-being, and ensuring that no one felt forgotten.

Our initiative focused on delivering food items, hygiene supplies, and basic essentials to households struggling due to lockdown restrictions, job losses, and social isolation. Beyond material support, we also fostered hope—reminding families that they are seen, valued, and supported through difficult times.

This outreach effort reflected our core mission: to advocate for inclusion, dignity, and better quality of life for individuals with disabilities. By standing with these families during one of the world’s most challenging periods, we strengthened community resilience and highlighted the importance of caring for one another.

At Pleo ReachOut CIC, we remain committed to building more compassionate, inclusive, and supportive communities—locally and globally.
