Pleo ReachOut Organisation Graces the MKFM Awards at Unity Place, Milton Keynes

Pleo ReachOut Organisation CIC had the honour of attending the prestigious MKFM Awards held at the iconic Unity Place in Milton Keynes, a celebration dedicated to recognising individuals, organisations, and community changemakers who are making a lasting difference across the city and beyond.

The atmosphere at Unity Place was vibrant, elegant, and filled with a powerful sense of community pride. Leaders, volunteers, businesses, and charity groups gathered under one roof with one purpose: to acknowledge the tireless work being done every day to uplift lives, create opportunities, and foster unity. For Pleo ReachOut, being present at this event was more than an invitation — it was a recognition of the consistent work we continue to carry out in championing the rights, wellbeing, and social inclusion of people living with disabilities and their families, particularly within minority and underserved communities.

Celebrating Community Impact and Collective Progress

The MKFM Awards highlight the importance of community engagement and advocacy. As an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of carers, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing social isolation, Pleo ReachOut was inspired by the stories shared throughout the evening — stories of resilience, collaboration, and empowerment.

Our presence at the event reaffirms our commitment to:

  • Promoting disability inclusion and social equity
  • Supporting carers and their vital role in our communities
  • Advocating for accessible systems and opportunities for all
  • Strengthening cultural awareness and community participation

The awards evening also served as a reminder that impactful work grows strongest when collaboration thrives. We are proud to stand alongside other organisations and leaders who share our vision for a more inclusive society.

A Moment of Reflection and Renewed Motivation

Attending the MKFM Awards offered Pleo ReachOut an opportunity to reflect on our journey so far — from community outreach programmes and carer support initiatives to awareness campaigns, empowerment workshops, and international outreach.

While the recognition across Milton Keynes for community service is heartening, we believe our best work is still ahead. The conversations and networking opportunities at Unity Place have opened new doors for partnership and development as we continue to expand our impact both locally and globally.

Looking Ahead

The future is promising, and Pleo ReachOut is committed to deepening our impact through programmes that inspire hope, expand access to care, and uplift individuals traditionally underrepresented in decision-making and support structures.

We extend our appreciation to MKFM for hosting a remarkable celebration of community excellence and to every individual and organisation striving to make Milton Keynes a stronger, kinder, and more inclusive place.

Together — we care, we support, and we empower.
